October 2023: Can you hear the quiet jingle of bells?
As we start on the slippery slope towards end of year festivities (how can it only be 55 days until Christmas?), our minds tend to turn away from what we want to do with our homes, and towards how we're going to catch up with everyone before the Christmas break (funny how we do that, eh?).
Ironically, if you want 2024 to be the year of your major renovation or new home build, you need to start now. Many people underestimate the time it takes to get everything ready and approved before you actually start to build. Finalising your new home design and layout, engaging specialist consultants, getting your plans approved, securing your construction certificate, and just living your normal busy family life in between, can make the pre-build process take up to 12 months!
And then there is the actual build phase. Many people are surprised by how long this phase can take too - so we wrote a little blog about it to help you plan.
Of course, if you'd rather just talk to someone about your project and specific design, budget and timeline goals, book your free consultation with me today. As a Licensed Builder AND Registered Architect, I can help you from both sides of the design and build process.
I can not wait to hear from you!
