THE ROLE

In this newly created role, you will work closely with our discerning clients across all stages of the Design Process and Project Lifecycle to articulate and translate their lifestyle goals into practical, family home designs which not only delight, but also respect and adhere to their build budget. You will work closely with our Senior Architect, and have regular mentoring access to our Principal (who is also a Licensed Builder), to take approved Concepts and deliver them through to project completion.

TYPICAL DAY

  • Deliver architectural design and documentation for a range of projects across the entire design/build lifecycle

  • Work across multiple projects at a time, each at difference stages of the process

  • Communicate and meet with Clients and Consultants ensuring project updates are delivered on time, feedback accurately interpreted, and design solutions clearly proposed

  • Attend Site Visits during both the Design and Construction phases, working across our Design and Construction teams to ensure seamless project transition and client experience from design to build phase

  • Improve current and/or identify and implement new Design Studio best practice systems and processes

As a baseline you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in custom home residential design

  • Strong design problem solving skills

  • Ability to interpret a client’s wants and needs into practical, sustainable designs

  • High quality detailing and delivery skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as a project needs

  • Previous experience in client engagement, presentation and management

  • Self-motivated and proactive work ethic

  • Excellent communication and presentation

It will be beneficial if you also have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, overseeing project development from Concept through to Construction

  • Familiar with residential construction details and Project Construction Stages

  • Experience in developing 3D Renders (still and video) for client presentation

  • Experience with compiling cost estimates during the design process

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years Revit experience

  • Currently registered with NSW Architects Registration Board (or Australian State equivalent)

  • Experience with the National Construction Code and Australian Standards

  • Solid understanding of CDC and Council controls and regulations

  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Australian Resident or full Australian working visa
